Meet Michael. This sweet little baby was 13 days old at the time of his newborn photography session.
He was such a pleasure to work with- so calm and so cute (always a plus!).
This pose is called the Potato Sack pose and its seriously one of my favorite poses to do with newborns. Its ridiculously cute and since baby is wrapped up so snug, they usually sleep well because they feel so cozy. The neutral colors really compliment his skin tone!
That drool bubble!
Look at that smirk in the first image! So dang adorable. The bonnet and grey knitted wrap are from Baby Portrait Prop Shop.
The curly blanket from Cwtchicoo and the crate was an Ebay find.
You might remember his mama’s maternity session if you follow me on facebook. His mom showed up with a custom made dress with the most fabulous colors! I asked her to bring her head wrap back so I could incorporate it into the newborn session. Notice it? It was important to incorporate it while still making baby the focus of the image so I added it as a bottom layer and kept him wrapped in a matching yet more neutral tone.
And because I LOVE the black and whites from his session, here they are:

What a cute little guy you captured Lorena! In your images I see how you have beautiful textured layers in neural colors and the baby really is the focus. Beautiful timeless images!
