I took a trip to Austin, Tx and got to hang with some of my favorite people in the whole world. Meet my cousin and his lovely family- the Gilillland clan.
I love them so much. Paul and Kelli were high school sweethearts. They’ve been together for as long as I can remember. Recently, life has thrown them a cureveball. August 2013 will mark 3 years since my cousin received his diagnosis. Leukemia. Cancer is awful and thank God, my cousin is kicking its butt. He rec’d a stem cell transplant a little over a year ago and is on his way to recovery. It’ll be a long journey but, he’s got lots of cheerleaders, crazy determination and most importanty, prayers, on his side. His stem cells were donated by an anonymous doner. Imagine a complete stranger being closer in DNA to you than your immediate family…..incredible isn’t it? We all are so thankful to his donor and encourage everyone to join the registry. To his beautiful wife, Kelli, you are my hero. Your strength, grace, faith and kindness is inspiring. The world needs more people like you. & Paul- keep kicking butt!
